A Modern Outhouse in The Bush

I came across another amazing project by Madeleine Blanchfield Architects called the Kangaroo Valley Outhouse. It’s a bathroom in the bush which services a small cabin nearby for overnight stays. It is a mirrored cube nestled in vegetation, it almost disappears. When inside the bathroom, the walls are glass and there is no impediment to the view of the surrounding landscape. So outside the structure reflects the lush greenery that surrounds it and inside you can see through to the nature all around you. Now that’s an outhouse I want to spend some time in!
